To schedule your written or road test, you have a few options. You can visit an MPI office or an Autopac location in person. Alternatively, you can conveniently book your test online by visiting the MPI website at https://www.mpi.mb.ca/Pages/Online-Services.aspx.

The waiting period for taking the road test depends on your prior licensing status. If you've never held a driver's license before, you must wait for 9 months before being eligible for the road test. However, if you currently hold a valid driver's license from another jurisdiction, you may be eligible to apply for a permanent license without waiting.

No, you will not be able to transfer your Learner's license from another province to Manitoba. MPI does not recognize Learner's licenses from other provinces, so you will need to follow the licensing process in Manitoba, which may involve retaking the written test.
